Nritya Sankalpa, a non-profit organization, offers training in the Indian Classical dance form called Bharatanatyam. Its main object is to promote Art and Culture and supports development of high quality training in Classical and Folk Dances. Nritya Sankalpa is actively run by founder-director Savitha Viswanathan, a graduate & distinguished Bharatanatyam dancer from Kalakshetra - Chennai. Ever since her Arangetram in year 1981, Savitha, has performed at various prestigious forums in India like the ICCR, Sahitya Kala Parishad, Mylapore Fine Arts Society & many more forums in the U.K, U.S.A, Singapore, Nepal & Thailand. A skilled teacher, Savitha has over 12 years of teaching experience.
Nritya Sankalpa's curriculum is based on the syllabus followed at Kalakshetra, Chennai.
At Nritya Sankalpa we have regular classes for Bharatanatyam, Summer Camps for folk dances,arrange work shops, seminars and training programs. Students participate in public performances and sponsored programs. |
